Description
Acid Buff is rumen buffer and conditioner for increasing mik yield through improved rumen fermentation. Acid Buff helps to buffer changes in rumen pH caused by highly acidic forage and/or feeding a large proportion of readily fermentable concentrate. It breaks down at a slower rate to Sodium Bicarbonate so neutralises more acid over a longer time period. This results in better milk yield/growth rate.
Nutritional Attributes
Acid Buff has the following benefits: High surface area of the algal material (due to the honeycomb structure) gives sustained buffering over a long period of time. Contains Calcium, Magnesium and other minerals. Improved milk yield and live weight gain when feeding acidic rations. Reduction in rumen pH immediately after feeding. Increases rumination time, improving fibre digestion. Lower inclusion rate is required to Sodium Bicarbonate and can substitute a proportion of limestone required in a diet, creating more space in high density rations for other nutrients.
Storage and Handling
Acid Buff is available in 25kg bags. Packed product should be stored in a dry place around 20°C under GMP + FSA conditions and protected against direct sunlight.
